Taipei Station Cafe is a Taiwanese restaurant tucked inside a shopping center in Plano, offering a slice of authentic Taiwanese home-style cooking with a focus on hearty, comforting dishes. The vibe here leans toward casual and no-frills, more about the food than fine dining—think quick service with meals often served in plastic containers, which suits takeout well and reflects the place’s straightforward approach.

The menu is rich with classic Taiwanese favorites like spicy beef noodle soup, pork belly gua bao, and fried chicken leg over rice, alongside less commonly found items such as oyster & intestines thin noodle soup and cabbage braised pork belly. Portions tend to be generous, making this spot a solid option for those craving authentic flavors and substantial servings without the wait of a traditional dine-in experience.

Locals and visitors familiar with Taiwanese food will appreciate the depth of flavor in signature dishes, especially the spicy beef noodle soup, which is reportedly made with a broth simmered for two days. While the setting is simple and practical rather than polished, the quality of the food tends to be the main draw.

Visitors looking for a relaxed lunch or early dinner will find Taipei Station Cafe well suited to casual group outings or solo meals when craving something comforting and authentic. The practical layout, including to-go plastic containers, makes it easy for busy workers or families on the go to take food home.

Expect straightforward service and an atmosphere that centers on the food rather than ambiance. Some spots for improvement include the restrooms and the use of plastic ware, but these details don’t overshadow a menu that consistently delivers familiar Taiwanese taste profiles, from stewed pork belly dishes to refreshing sides like Taiwanese pickled cucumber.

All in all, Taipei Station Cafe fits well into the Plano local scene as a dependable place to get authentic Taiwanese dishes without fuss, especially appealing to Taiwanese expats, adventurous foodies, or anyone missing the flavors of Taiwan’s street and home cooking.

I frequently travel to Taiwan for business and love the food there, especially the spicy beef noodle soup. I gave Taipei Station Cafe a try and it did not disappoint. We love all the food and one dish stood out was the spicy beef noodle soup. The owner told us that they simmer the broth for 2 days. Service was great and we will definitely come back soon.

November 2024 Good and tasty food but not cheap. Food was served on plastic container and eat with plastic ware. Not much of service and the restroom needs attention. If you can overlook all that, the food taste is pretty good. The size of the pork chop is pretty huge. I will not come as often due to the pricing.

AMAZING!! I’ve been looking for authentic Taiwanese cuisine (being Taiwanese myself) and found this place. We had their oyster pancake, pork belly gua bao, and popcorn chicken. Their portion sizes were huge and the food was PHENOMENAL. It is super worth it to come here, a must have.

I visited here with my family because I really like and miss Taiwanese food. Ji (fried chicken) steak with rice was really delicious!! Highly recommend Spicy Popcorn Chicken was also good! Stir-fried rice noodles were fine. I like they put the food in the to-go plastic containers so that you can take it back home if you can't finish it. Most dish comes with grounded pork, one side dish, and a big portion of rice. It was worth trying their dishes!

I enjoyed their fried taro dish! While the vegan options are quite limited, they are always willing to make adjustments to the order to accommodate different requests! I settle for a tofu dish with a bento-style rice dish with a few sides. Pair your order with a passion fruit green tea and you know your day will be alright!

Wife and I are in Dallas for the week and I had the urge for a quick Taiwanese food. This place satisfied the urge. I had the beef/tendon noodle soup and my wife had the pig feet bento set. Both were excellent. Next time I will try the fried pork chop and the fried chicken bento set

I make it a point to visit Taipei Station Cafe every time I'm in town since my first visit 8 yrs ago, and it's always a rewarding experience. If you're in Dallas and craving authentic Taiwanese flavors, Taipei Station Café is a hidden gem you absolutely can't miss. It's a family-owned small restaurant where everything is made to order, ensuring fresh and flavorful dishes every time. The owner is very friendly, always making you feel welcome. The standout dish for me is their beef noodles – hands down the best in town. The broth is rich and savory, the texture of the chewy noodles is just perfect plus generous portion of perfectly cooked tender beef. Another favorite of mine is the Taiwanese chicken roll. The crispy exterior gives way to juicy, flavorful chicken, making each bite incredibly satisfying. It's the perfect balance of crunch and tenderness, and it's always a highlight of my meal. This place doesn't have a fancy environment, but I was never disappointed with anything I ordered, you can certainly feel that the food was made with care and passion. Highly recommended!
